Antique Hand Embroidered Silk Cigar Ribbon Quilt Block italy Signed lower right PAntique cigar ribbons which were used to wrap bundles of cigars are here pieced together in a colorful graphic block. Sewn onto a muslin backing with a fancy feather stich embroidered along all edges. Shades of orange and yellow with the cigar names printed in black, including, Owl, Why, Velinda and La Imperial. Unframed, edges are raw, likely was going to become a pillow or part of a quilt, some fraying to silk, edge wear. 16. 5" square.
