Far from being a mere encyclopedia of rock’s darker corners
is a succession of seven guitar driven original compositions that manage to maintain any incredibly high standard from start to finish
It's a record that take everyday existential crises and pins them to a wall of sound you can see from your teenage bedroom window
But one can hardly bitch about the inclusion of that track
Gleason’s additions are often so natural that it is hard to pick out what’s acoustic and what’s synthesized
CLEAN - Mister Pop LP alt-country Far from being a mereIncludes d l code. Originally released in 2009, Mister Pop is readily available again. In 1978, The Clean were the seeds of New Zealand punk. In the years since, they have carved out a big sandbox for everyone to play in, and their influence resonates not only in NZ but around the world. A group that thrives when free of expectations, The Cleans Robert Scott, Hamish Kilgour, and David Kilgour are, as Tape Op described, a casually wonderful band.
