Mike Spittler Hollowbuilt Quad Bamboo Rod 8' 2/2 #5 8'6' and one tip-topHere is a superb M. K. Spittler Co. 8 2 2 fluted hollow built quad for a DT5 line. Excellent original condition. The level of craftsmanship Mr. Spittler possesses is beyond impressive! The rod weighs 4 1 8 oz. Medium fast dry fly action. Serial #293. Single nickel silver ring over cork reel seat with a nicely burled wood insert below the seat. The rod has oxidized square to round ferrules with a bit of bluing loss on the female ferrule.
