Payne Bamboo Fly Rod 8' 2/2 #5/6 6'3" 8 1/2 feet in lengthA nice EF Payne fly rod, 8', 2 piece, 2 tips, built for a #5 or #6 line. No hang tag but likely a model 102 or 103. Very good original condition, with some tiny chips in a few spots in the varnish but they are very minor. The rod shows some signs of the varnish having been polished. Flamed and oven tempered cane wrapped brown with yellow edges and a maroon tipping at the keeper and male ferrules. The stripping guide is a perfection and the snake
