Tracks like ‘The 20 Teens’ and ‘Workin’’ showcase a scuzzier
Well worth a listen
The third album from these NYC mainstays adds concise rockers
mellow ’60s rockers “Don’t Wait Too Long” and the title track hit a jangling nerve
he's a pop-funk God but even at his worst
FORDLANDIA OST by Johann Johannsson 2LP Lo-fi Tracks like ‘The 20 Teens’Double 180 gram vinyl. Fordlndia is one of Jhann Jhannsson's lesser known works having only been available in a limited pressing. The title references Henry Ford's disastrous rubber plantation (there's a good name for a band by the way) which he abandoned in the mid '20s. The music is a typically gorgeous mesh of electronics and orchestral sounds that seem at times disparate but come together as the two separate themes merge into one.
