Nicholas Altare, Dolcetto di Dogliani, Piedmont, Italy 2022 lowsulfur Incredibly appetizing and well balancedAltare's Dogliani is made from 100% Dolcetto grown on primarily Terra Rossa (red clay) with some Terra Bianca (white calcareous clay). All fruit is destemmed and fermented in 80% concrete and 20% stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts, then aged for 10 months in stainless steel. Light purple in the glass with garnet highlights and aromas of fresh plums, black cherries and earth. The palate is sleek and refreshing with fine grained tannins and a
