Jonathan Campolo
Who needs a big
and even a live collaborator with the Velvet Underground
throwing everything we could think of at the songs to see what would stick
nondescript studio on the lifeless outskirts of Melbourne
BAMBARA - Stray LP avant-garde Jonathan CampoloHighly recommended. Think it was Henry Rollins first visit to Strangeworld, Sept '16, that we introduced him to Bambara's second album, Swarm, describing them as "kinda Gun Club meets The Birthday Party." He was sold on that and has continued to play them on his radio show ever since. Fourth album, Stray, is likewise superb. Just wish we could get our hands on Swarm again. From the press: One thing you wont be able to avoid on Bambaras Stray is death.
