Growing up in Weirton, West Virginia, Mary Ann wanted to do more than work with integrated steel (the main industry at the time). She wanted to be an artist since she was in grade school. Up until the loss of her sister, she put that dream aside. It wasn't until the encouragement of her husband that she picked up her brushes and made art again. Her art subjects of choice include teddy bears, Christmas, and sign art.
