tight transitions and general fervor are smashed together and masked in a melodic punk rock coating as they tear through each track with feverish excitement and a touch of antagonism and self-indulgent frenzy
Stylistically the music is initially not miles away from Ministry
A slight uptick in fidelity won’t even begin to ruffle any feathers here
who is no stranger to making out-there genre-defying records

CRACK CLOUD - Pain Olympics LP 50-60s tight transitions and general fervor* FIRST PRESSING * Gatefold sleeve. Highly recommended. Debut LP is a ripper. This Canadian collective and store favourite (their two EPs, collected as one LP was our "album" of the year 2018) offer layer upon layer of angular and wiry one note riffs, with added saxophone (minimal); it's Josef K meets Television by way of Gang of Four. If you don't know them but love Black Midi, Squid or Battles, take note. It's DUDS but much, much sexier.
