GREAT PLAINS - Born In A Barn LP deathrock circa 1971Includes d l code. Limited edition of 500 copies. Highly recommended. Great Plains were a literate lo fi folk punk band from Columbus, Ohio (There is also a 90's country band with the name, and this is DEFINITELY NOT them). They were led by the ever aging and always strident Ron House, who later formed the wonderful Thomas Jefferson Slave Apartments. Born in a Barn features crazed but oddly catchy numbers about Abraham Lincoln and Rutherford B. Hayes.
