The date February 1522 is engraved on the tang, as well as the name "Kanefusa". Menuki in the shape of a rooster. Family crest present on Fuchi and Saya. The Hamon is a Gunome. Nakago (Tang) signature: Kanefusa Taiei 2nen 2gatsu (2nd month, 2nd year Taiei, or February 1522) Kissaki (Tip): Shobu Zukkuri
