ED SCHRADER'S MUSIC BEAT - Party Jail LP emo Encased in a brown paper

Encased in a brown paper wrapping like a forgotten bit of smut from behind the beaded curtain

is four tracks of future-fried punk the world truly deserves

slick rock music with the career enhancing Stories From the City

somewhat more gregarious interest in all the different kinds of indie music that would surely wither and die without the loving care of a very determined label behind them

The band’s session for the Beat Patrol wasn't even noted within the BBC's vast archives

ED SCHRADER'S MUSIC BEAT - Party Jail LP emo Encased in a brown paperHighly recommended. A duo hailing from the same Baltimore scene as Future Islands and Dan Deacon, Ed Schrader and Devlin Rice commit sonic assault and battery using only vocals drums and bass, respectively. Rather than sound shackled by their minimalist set up, Schrader and Rice find freedom in simplicity, and on Party Jail they create a rumbling post punk racket youll want to lock yourself up with for life.
