First 2 weeks: cellular preparation (no visible changes) What's happening (invisible): GHK-Cu binding to receptors Gene expression changes beginning Fibroblast activation Collagen synthesis machinery ramping up Anti-inflammatory processes starting Cellular repair initiating What you won't see yet: No visible skin improvements No wrinkle reduction No firmness increase No texture changes Essentially looks the same Why the lag: Collagen takes weeks to accumulate Skin turnover cycle is 28-40 days Structural changes require time Visible benefits need threshold amount of new collagen What to do during this phase: Continue protocol consistently Don't get discouraged Document with photos (before baseline) Trust the process Most people quit here (mistake!) Dosing during weeks 1-2: Standard protocol: 1-2mg 3-5x weekly Aggressive: 2-3mg daily Don't increase dose out of impatience Consistency matters more than dose Weeks 3-6: first subtle improvements Early visible changes (if looking closely): Slight texture improvement (smoother) Minor firmness increase (skin feels tighter) Possible glow/radiance Hydration improvement Pore size may reduce slightly Still not dramatic: Most people don't notice without comparing photos Friends/family won't comment Need good lighting to see differences Progress is gradual What's actually happening: Collagen accumulation now measurable Skin barrier function improving Hydration retention increasing Fine lines starting to soften (very subtly) Week-by-week expectations: Staying motivated: Take weekly photos (same lighting/angle) Compare to baseline Track subjective skin feel (firmness, smoothness) Don't expect miracles yet See our peptides for anti-aging category and how long do peptides take to work
