For repletion of a confirmed deficiency, I use higher doses, typically 1000 to 2000 mcg per day
Based on patient needs, NAD+ may be prescribed for intravenous (IV), intramuscular (IM), or subcutaneous (SubQ) administration
Symptoms of B12 deficiency include: Fatigue Low mood or personality/mood changes Irritability Lethargy Headaches Palpitations Loss of appetite Pale yellow tint to the skin A feeling of pins and needles (paraesthesia) Poor memory Impaired cognitive performance Depression Weakness Impaired digestion Inflammation Gastrointestinal lesions Neurological damage Since B12 is primarily found in animal products, any change in ones diet that leads to a decrease in the consumption of such products such as a vegan , vegetarian, or low-fat diet can increase the chance of a person developing a B12 deficiency
Common options include vitamin B12 for energy and neurological health, vitamin D for addressing deficiencies, and vitamin C for its antioxidant and immune-boosting properties
Regular B12 injections are the only treatments that seem to work, as excess amounts of Vitamin B12 are not stored in the body but rather excreted (it is a water soluble vitamin)
