Description This course will provide learners with the theory and practical to have a good knowledge and understanding of providing clients with Vitamin B12 injections
Injecting into fat instead of muscle reduces absorption, so the dose may not work as intended
Application : Injection Sites : Common sites for SC injections include the abdomen (avoiding a 2-inch radius around the navel), the outer area of the upper arm, and the thigh
It is also sometimes prescribed to help with certain types of anemia caused by poor absorption of vitamin B12. This particular formulation comes in 1 mL vials that contain 1000mcg of cyanocobalamin, which can be used for multiple doses
