They gather there and form flocks before migrating south. This flock formation is also called "murmuration". I was surprised by the birds and had neither the ideal camera nor the ideal film for such a natural spectacle at dusk. Nevertheless, I shot almost a whole film and caught the starlings in an almost circular formation.
