The way I see it, these cards tutor for any card that youve already used, turning your yard into a smorgasbord of value
They could often gain loyalty to escape Lightning Bolt range, and cards like Assassins Trophy would give the opponent a land after they likely already gained a card from activating their planeswalker
This guy is a card that can work similarly being a two mana personal effect and although he is less powerful than sunscape familiar he is much more widely useful
Its especially juicy if you somehow pull off a Planeswalker ultimate yes, those are activated abilities
