When paired with other effects that require opponents to pay additional resources to cast their spells, whether it be life or mana, when paired with Liesa, opponents can be put in miserable situations in which casting even the most simple of spells is an arduous endeavor
Solid as a 5th Boros card
It phases out your stuff, stops your life total changing, and gives you protection from everything
If an ability required that creature's controller to attack rather than the creature itself (such as that of Trove of Temptation), that creature dealing combat damage won't cause Firkraag's last ability to trigger, even if it was the only creature that player could have attacked with to meet the requirement
I like it in multiple attack brews, aggro, tokens, and alongside Commanders that share combat damage triggers that you already invest in unblockable infrastructure like Whispersilk Cloak
