Gold Ball on Chain Old Carved Wooden Whimsy bird-shaped pin holding jewelry on the dresserI was thinking this old painted, carved whimsy would make a great, and fun, door knocker probably best for an interior door, but easy to hang from one nail or hook, and the gold painted ball is plenty large to make a good knock. I think it is a pretty old one, with pale, faded blue and red paint on two of the links, which also make me think it's like a big gold metal which one could (very dramatically!) hang around one's neck (or just hang on the wall
