The one and only issue are scratches on the butt section near the ferrule. The cork grip is in great shape as is the butt piece. Black aluminum up locking reel seat with hidden hook keeper. The ferrules fit together tightly and are also sound, no cracks. The Z AXIS rods were designed to be very light in the hand, fast and accurate up close as well
