I just love the specificity of the imagery

with that round and deep lower half offset by its dramatically sloping lid which doubles as a handle

though there has been a bit of debate here about whether it might be a dog

Free standing (though I personally especially like it laying horizontally) it's great now as a sculptural object (and obviously works brilliantly as a large paperweight)

I'd guess these two may have been part of a Noah's ark set, though maybe a barnyard set, and like that they feel very much like a couple, one a little taller and bigger, and with slightly larger dots for eyes! Approx 2" t x 2 3 4" l and in great condition, definitely with some age. The horns were carved from a separate piece of wood then attached.
