I believe these blocks were part of a larger boxed Color Cubes set

Structurally very solid and In overall good condition

While most definitely a glorious pigment to use for painting or dying (I dissolved a bit in water and it produces beautiful color)

These six are from a larger group of 19th c. graphite drawings I found yesterday at a show in New Hampshire, which I've divided into sets so many fabulous little animals! In addition to the creatures themselves, I really love the capital letter handwriting on the captions. And the monkey, with its tiny face, is I thimk especially wonderful! All approx 4
