Description

And it really feels quite luxurious at about 7 3/4 inches tall--as much as a small modernist sculpture as a folk carving

8 1/2" long x 3" widest x 1 1/8" deep

typically featuring bold but organic shapes against a white slipped stoneware body

12 1/4" across with arms out

with several little portraits of "girl" combined with "man"

Brassica campestris (Wild turnip), Plant Specimen from 1879 Herbarium arts and crafts vase And it really feels quiteI have a fantasy that one day at a flea market I'll uncover a beautiful antique herbarium that's been sitting in the bottom of a box for 150 years or so filled with page upon page of perfectly documented pressed and dried plant specimens. Alas, this has yet to happen, but I did recently find a seller with a nice bunch of them all by a N. N. Jones, and I just went back to her for a few more. This one is Brassica campestris, also known as Wild Turnip.
