Carved Folk Art Eagle's Head Massachusetts history but it's the bird drawing

but it's the bird drawing on the inside of the front cover that sold me

4 7/8" x 3" and in very good condition

with one of the original pins in tact for holding the long sides together

and a couple of small stains and one clean tear on the King of spades

with transfer smears here and there original to the piece

I've been finding myself quite attracted to eagles of late, I think perhaps wanting to reclaim ideas of American patriotism. This one is flat on the back so would be especially good hung from a hook on the wall, perhaps with that keen eye and open beak commenting on something else hung nearby. 5 5 8" t x 3" w x 3 4" d and in very good condition, I would guess mid 20th c. or so.
