I believe this one dates to the very late 19th century

I'm always rather amazed by the colors of mallards to begin with

Graphite and blue crayon

and I must say just looking at these makes me want to head to the beach

I especially like the very long blades of his rotating arms, which still turn easily and smoothly, and with one of them touching the ground it seems as if he might be paddling a boat (or a paddle
