Distilled in 1989, this Mortlach spent over three decades in a bourbon hogshead before a finishing period of 21 months in two first fill PX sherry octaves adding a final layer of richness. Aromas of barley sugar and beeswax are complemented by creamy fudge, dried apricot and fruity oak on the palate. The PX cask has brought a great depth and a refined finish that is sweet and malty.
