Leonard Model 39-5 Fly Rod 7'6" 2/2 #5 9'6" a 8'3" 2-pieceA nice HL Leonard Model 39 bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 2 piece, 2 tip, and built for a #5 line. Serial #3447 which puts the date of manufacture around 1976. 3. 6 ounces. Medium, full flexing action. This rod shows modest use with some hand soiling to the grip but all sections are nice and straight. Wheatstraw color cane done in a three up node pattern. Nice varnish. Light brown main wraps with dark brown edges and dark brown at the keeper, ferrules, and tip
