All panels open and close with ease and the screen fully folds down to the width of one panel if needed

Large 19th Century Rosewood and Mother of Pearl Writing Slope With Key. SOLD The gilt frame shows wearA wonderful example of a 19th Century writing slope. Rosewood inlaid with Mother of Pearl detail. The writing slope boasts its original key and a working lock. The inner boards folds out to reveal blue velvet lining. The brass lock to keep the board in place once opened functions perfectly. The pen rest can be removed to reveal a small secret compartment beneath. There is a small amount of wear to the front right corner (please see photographs).
