It can of course be mixed with the lighter malts to recreate your favourite beer or perhaps create your own secret recipe. Chocolate malt should be used sparingly (no more than 5% of total malt content of your brew) and has a strong coffee flavour with notes of mild burnt toast. This malt is similar to black malt but less harsh and bitter.
