C. 1920s Sterling Track and Field Medal Engraved "1st High Jump" ornament but what makes this really

but what makes this really special feeling to me is the manner in which it was cased--set under heavy glass

I'd guess there are a hundred or so blank pages

from 1914-16

revealing a small ruler

I hope--or perhaps for a former Manhattanite like me

C. 1920s Sterling Track and Field Medal Engraved "1st High Jump" ornament but what makes this reallyI find the two runners one of them looking pretty exhausted! on the face of this sterling medal both lovely and poignant, and even better that it be engraved "1st High Jump" on reverse, which makes it seem to me just right as a gift for most anyone who has accomplished something that felt like a high jump! 1920s or so I believe and still attached to a rather beautiful old leather strap. I have not touched it but should one desire it should polish up
