shape and style of painting I’d guess it’s American and dates to the mid to late 19th century

But no chips or cracks that I can still and still looks great

The leather is wonderfully worn to a warm dark brown and it just has a great feeling to it

including what I believe is the edition number

Here the double portraits assume the form of leaves, some detailed with veins that simultaneously read as whisps of hair framing each face, and all arranged in rows surrounded by shading in autumnal shades of burnt orange
