describing the process of carving it and even more so implying the itch that is scratched by striking a match and lighting whatever one might light with it

What makes them really wonderful is their specificity--these have been used as teaching tools due to their accuracy in representing the fine details of each particular species of mushroom they portray

but I think the tiles are really gorgeous

a few of them—including this one—double-sided and fantastic on both sides

Ashtrays sun rubber I'll never say no toI wasn't yet around when Dwight Eisenhower and Adlai Stevenson faced off, but I'd love to have met the person who made these clever folk art ashtrays marking the occasions (1952 & 1956), a brilliant early iteration of sample polling among focus groups, I'd say! A relatively simple gesture, but an iconic one, representing radically different ideologies, and rather poignant feeling one now, including as one imagines how different things might be had
