silvery and with fantastic tonal richness and detail to the dense matrix of spindly trees and branches

Wear to the cover is all to the good for character I think (loss to wood at lower right) and the leather spine and binding are in good shape

They look like baby birds to me, perhaps eagerly awaiting the arrival of mother to feed them. A very lovely one, with the birds almost disappearing amid the filagree of leaves a happy discovery. 5 1 2" x 3 1 2" and in very good condition, unused postcard back.
