for which perhaps additional decoration was planned

but also pens and pencils

I believe this basket is the work of Flo Shay

and which I purchased together) dating I think to the 19th century

Some rusting to the metal and a few flecks of old white paint on the bristles, bit overall great used condition and many years of use in it yet. 6 1 2" long x 2" d.
