which I really love as they make it seem as if it was handled so often the edges needed protection

It is structurally sound and not particularly fragile

I'd put it somewhere where I'd see it every single day

Loads of character to both of them and to the yard, fence and structure behind them too! making me want to know everything about this young Thurston Creston Caton of Steelton, PA who I have learned lived 19021962, and seems to have had 16 brother and sisters! 3 3 8" x 2 3 8". C. early 1910s.
