Olney's Modern Geography, 1835, With Excellent Endpaper Squirrel Drawing! long bowl where I presume it hasIt is interesting to revisit world geography from an 1835 American perspective, but I must say this one for me is really all about the squirrel drawing on the inside of the front cover! Executed in graphite, it is definitely of the period. There is also a terrific nine quadrant printed chart of directions with hands pointing every way a few pages in. And then it is all about America. (I think there was another chunk to this book, lost at the back;
