Stylized Modernist Carved Wood Head, Early-Mid 20th C., SIgned d'alveydre equilibriste with this stocky figure carryingI believe this head is a Western, modernist carving done sometime between the late 1920s and early 50s. It actually immediately made me think of the work of Belarusian born French artist Ossip Zadkine (1888 1967) whose work (and museum and studio in Paris) I really love.
