with dark mud-looking stain as noted and a bit of what I think is some green paint rubbed off of another drawing at lower right on that same side
and the addition of a little blue paint would make it disappear
and dark royal red) wooden scepter would make the perfect gift—a super fun
it's also just a great looking object--this one with boxed end stained green
too--and a good sized one at 70 1/2" x 40 1/4" (so almost 6 x 3 1/2 feet)
To My Love, Old Crayoned Valentine from Alice with Woven Paper Heart Corners antique bone figure with dark mud-looking stain asIt may be Halloween season, but in my book it's always time for a Valentine, and I could never wait until February to share one as charming as this, made by Alice for her Aunt Hazel a hundred years or so ago I'd guess. I love the big bold red crayoned heart, but the woven paper hearts at the corners make it especially special. 5 1 4" x 4 1 6" and in good condition, bright and bold, with a little loss to the top right woven heart.
