A hermit doing some spiritual reading on a quiet afternoon. A couple of rabbits loitering in the yard. it is a lovely scene, and we like looking at it. Carl Spitzweg (1808 1885) was a German painter noted for his scenes and landscapes. He did a number Catholic themed paintings like this, similarly lovely and calm, with outdoorsy touches, which we hope to offer you someday.
