I must say I find her rather inspiring

while  teaching at the Harlem Art Center and working at the New York branch of the WPA graphics division

My knowledge of post WWII French Abstraction is not very strong

Round Ball in Cage Inside of Cage Carved Whimsy native south american Really a very special littleIt seems possible that this whimsy was carved of some sort of nut pod (one sometimes sees Brazil nut podscarved into whimsy rattles), but this is quite different I'm not sure. At any rate, a pretty unusual one, all the better for the fact that you can roll it around! The cage inside the larger cage moves rolls around inside it, as does the ball inside of it, a little bit! 2" x 1 3 4" and in good shape, with little carved marks all over, original to it
